This album by chanchevesfathifel.provelnalitinpoducampmooncampliru.co is pretty solid with some standout tracks ("Hi-Fi" is my favorite, but "One Life Away", "Fuel for Fire", "Four Hours in Washington"), and some weaker ones. On the whole, Transistor Radio could have benefited from a little less attention to spacey production values and more attention to /5(36).

    M. Ward describes Transistor Radio as a collection of songs “about childhood memories of a utopian radio power ” and dedicates the album to “the last of the remaining independent radio stations.” Opening with a beautiful John Fahey-esque instrumental rendition of the Beach Boys’ “You Still Believe in Me,” Transistor Radio continues down a dusty well-worn road full of timeless.

Dec 02,  · Merge has reissued M. Ward’s album Transistor Radio on gram vinyl. The new LP pressing includes a CD containing four previously unreleased recordings. We asked music writer Jud Cost to revisit Transistor Radio for this reissue, and this is what he wrote. If you totally lost it when you first heard the masterful CD version of the opening track, a lump-in-the-throat instrumental.

    M. Ward is such an inconspicuously competent songwriter in an seemingly old school americana idiom that some of his songs sound like traditionals of a pre-Dylan chanchevesfathifel.provelnalitinpoducampmooncampliru.co country tinges, a little bit of folk rock and the overall soothing, quiet, shimmering guitars, the unadventurous production and his high, slightly raspy voice make Transistor Radio one of his most listenable albums.
